History of the Inn

The house at Walnut Lane was built with native wood and trees like black walnut, cedar, oak, and hickory. The walnut tree used to make cabinets, floors, and other woodwork in the house fell at the farm of Linda's father, Franklin Eugene Lewis (Gene). Every guest at Walnut Lane thinks the house is in fact old.
